That's the spirit!

Anyone got more around here, post your mileage here, I'm at 16K miles after exactly 24 months.

Is this total car mileage? you got a 3.9 rebuild somewhere in the last 2 year. How many track miles/hours (and no, Canyon loop is not track miles), and how many miles since the rebuild.

NJ-GT - I'll summarize what you said: increased stress decreases engine life. This is well known.

Now where is that 300k Ferrari?

No track miles on my car, just under 23,000 miles on the SW 3.9. Next time you are in No. Ca come drive the loop with me then deceide track miles vs. loop miles. I know of a SW 3.9 which has over 200 hrs of track time on it.

track miles are more intense as there is very limited cooling off time.
40 mins off, then out again for another beating.
road driving involves longer, gradual, coasting cooling down times and building up to it, unless you live right in the sticks like bruce wayne.

$300K or 300,000 miles. 300K in miles on average would mean a 125 year old car A 1887 F car might be hard to locate.

nice! so, you park in the batcave afterwards, pull up a chair, crack open a beer, feel the heat coming from 3.9l's of stuttgart's finest and listen to the ****** n clinks as you both recover in blissful surrounds?

Many non-reliable Fiats (read, non 599GTO, non Scuderia/16M) with mileage beyond 200k miles, and they are from the worse quality era: 355, TR, 456, 360, 328, 308...

My 2004 GT3 is still on the original engine, it should be somewhere in the 50k miles now, last time I checked it was near 40k miles. My 2007 GT3 RS got the engine rebuilt at 22k miles.

You just got your engine rebuilt too.

I haven't seen a 300k miles GT3, but I know of many GT3 Cup with engines rebuilt.

***** drivers babying a GT3 engine can easily get 300k miles, I can't enjoy a GT3 at such slow pace and low RPM, plus an engine rebuild is affordable. For ***** driving, a Turbo or 991S are better options.
