Exclamation Anyone knew this Crashed .1 GT3 Louisville, KY?

Hello members,

I bought this car in 4/2011 for personal use and wanted to know if anybody knew this car before it was crashed.

The car was serviced regularly at Blue Grass Auto in Louisville, KY. The service rep said the previous owner tracked the car a lot.

I just wanted to ask the previous owner for the extra key and books and ask a few questions about the front sway bar.

Any help would greatly be appreciated ..

Thanks guys!

Wow, that's a lot of damage. Does it have a salvaged title now?

Looks like the same car that was discussed last year at length on 6speed....is this the one you were going to convert to an RS look-alike and sell?

Ralph is building himself a .2 RS from either a regular .1 gt3 or .1 RS.
I think you went with a bright green and black wheels right?

If you still have it and completed it post some pics!

Hello members,

First off, big thanks to M3EvoBR for telling me about this forum. He said that members here did work on their cars unlike 6speed.

Yes, I am inclined to sell whatever I own. It's my nature and its just how I grew up. Buy & Sell. I'm saying this b/c this was what got me banned over at 6speed. Thanks to GT3 Chuck. Enough of 6speed.

I'm simply trying to share my two big projects, make new friends, share stories, and help others with what I've been thru building two GT3's branded Salvage. That's it.

If anybody has any type of interest on purchasing these cars at the end, then so be it. I'm currently driving the gt3 I restored to its oe condition as my daily driver and I gotta say that this has blown my mind!!!! Coming only from AMG 55 & 63's. This porsche has made me fall in love again with driving reckless, lol!

The other GT3, which is the OP, is the one that I intend on keeping. This is the car that converted to a .2 RS with everything OEM except the decklid/wing assmbly, which I bought of MAShaw for 4300.

I noticed that the previous owner had a different front sway bar with more holes than my regular .1. I just wanted to know which sway bar it was and if he had done any mods to the car.

I will post pics as soon as I get to my pc.

Nice to meet you guys!

Don't hold me to this, but I think I know the original owner. He didn't wreck the car, he turned it in after his lease was up and then the next buyer balled it up almost immediately after owning it, while hot ******* on the street. I could be wrong though, I just remember hearing a story about a GT3, and I think that might be it. I'm picking my car up from Blue Grass Motorsport early next week and will find out for sure and see if I can help dig up those bits for you.

Ralph, this is a great place, with great people, and I can tell for sure that I made FRIENDS here.
FRIEND is something that I count in one hand.
Good luck and keep us informed.

regards,

Eddie.

talk about GT3 rescue! Fantastic that you saved the two of them. With no tub damage you can keep these things going forever just like CUP cars..... How pretty you fix em' all depends on your wallet.

Speedy,

Tub/frame looks fine. Used parts are affordable, it should make for an affordable and reliable track day car or daily driver.

Use OEM 997S body parts, except bumpers/decklid from MaShaw or Getty.
