Here are some quotes regarding the RS 4.0 USA allocations:
“Only 600 can be built (of maybe which 200 or so will come to the U.S., although without the roll cage, lightweight plastic rear window, and lightweight Recaro seats) before the shift of the assembly lines to the new 911 platform.”
-Porsche Panorama, June 2011, page 24.
“At $185,950, the RS 4.0 doesn't come cheap. But that didn’t stop customers: All 600 have already been sold, including the 126 that will be shipped to our shores.”
-Car and Driver, June 1, 2011
It will be interesting to see the final #s.
