Used vehicle prices across the board have upward pressure on them at the moment. This is due to lack of supply. Go back to fall of 2008, economically things came to a standstill. Manufacturers were producing at full capacity and stuck with inventory that they had to discount to move. Production lowered in 2009,10 and into 11.

Less cars produced less cars coming off lease less cars for sale. Now sales are picking up, but there are less cars available to purchase in the 2009-11 variety. This also lifts years prior and makes new cars seem like better deals.

In 2014 when the 3yr leased 2011's start hitting the auctions, things will normalize. Until then you may have to pay up a little.

Just from my recent observation, the pool of available cars has shrunk dramatically. Luckily I found mine right in my back yard last week- I didn't hesitate to act fast with so little inventory.

I agree, prices are firming up quickly with so few choices.

No pictures until it passes Porsche DME scan on the 20th, but it's a great one!

Good luck with the purchase! I am curious, what do you consider passing a DME scan?

Thanks, I know what I consider a passing scan, just curious what others think. I know I'd have a hard time with range 3. 1 and 2s no problem.

I know 4,5,6 are money, but isn't 3 also a money shift? Range 3 is > 9200 rpms.

Well, let's hope for no mistakes! I'll be incredibly sad if it doesn't pass, since it won't come home with me.

I've not seen one as nice in weeks of searching....
