what does "milk the market" mean? does it mean to search for the lowest prices?

the market is all over the map, as i am looking as well. i've been seeing a $30k swing from high to low for 2010 gt3 (non-RS) asking prices with minimal differences in options, condition and miles.

I sold my friends 2008 BMW 650 Convertible at manheim in PA last summer and the car was 10/10 absolutely perfect condition but had 53,000 miles and manheim condition rated it as poor. As mike1111 said it is inaccurate.

These cars are not moving for a reason. When the 991 GT3 shows up the prices are certain to tank.

Condition reports are interesting. Is poor compared to others out there or was the 08 650i poor due to mileage?

Not so fast...judging by the base price of the base 911 991. The base price for the next RS will be around 150 which will make the 997 RS a steal at current prices

That is totally incorrect. It's a GT3 and a good-one at that. They never "tank".
No matter what happens in subsequesnt models, the depreciation happens on a nearly dead-straight and consistant path. Year one is greatest, less in year two and so on. All you have to do is look back at 996 GT3 prices and those of 997.1 GT3 to see it...

Wishful thinking on your part; however inaccurate it may be.

Exactly. Look at 996 3 prices, not bad considering the cars are 7 - 8 years old.

911 dev: You are right, perhaps wishful thinking. Time will tell whether the values drop after 911 GT3 is lighter and faster. I do agree the GT3 is afine car than will hold value, but it certainly will be effected.

Prices will go up before they start coming down again. Buy now or wait 1+ years for them to start coming down..

If there are no more GT3's available--which there are not.

Then, I believe the current 997.2 GT3 and RS will stabilize in price and maybe go down a max of say 5k for the next year, as there are none being produced, and some have probably been wrecked.

Not to mention that the 991 ain't too cheap.

Lehmanz06 is 100% correct.

Sorry, I can not go into more detail.

All I can say is, now is the time to buy!!
