Nitto NT01's ?

Here's another piece of the NT01/R555II question. I asked Nitto if the rubber compounds in the NT01 and R555II were the same. Says Nitto...
After doing some research, the rubber compounds for the NT-01 and
NT555RII are similar but not exactly the same. We understand your need
to find the right size tires, but we don't recommend mixing different
tires front and rear due to potential adverse changes in the vehicle's
handling characteristics.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Nitto Technical Department

I'll be a guinea pig and try them once I burn through my remaining RA1's. Nitto gets the point, we'll see a 35 aspect ratio.

I am running the 245/315 NT-01 on the track with no problems so far. Two days at NOLA on the long track without any issues, but they are still new to me on this car. I too start at 25/25 to end up at 32-34 range. I am worried about when the rears wear down, will ABS be an issue. YMMV

Now am on my third set of 245/315 NT-01 for track. I have found that 36 psi (HOT) is the bast balance for overall grip and best tire wear. Start at 27 cold for first session, then adjust to 36 as soon as off the track. Yet to have a set heat cycle out, and I get 7-8 track days per set. Although I have never had issues with the 245/315 combo (no problem with ABS, PSM, etc.), Nitto making a higher aspect ratio 315 for the rear will be great. The NT-01 is a great track tire, and a real bargain compared to other options.
What car are you using the NT01 tire setup with?

Greek...both .1 and .2 GT3 use the same size tires...
GT3 is .8" larger overall rear diameter between front to rear for stock sizes 235/35/19 & 305/30/19.
GT3RS is .9" overall diameter in the rear for stock sizes 245/35/19 & 325/30/19
The 245/40/18 and 315/30/18 Nitto NT01 is the opposite as the front tire is .2" larger than the rear.
Since we wear the rear tread depth a lot quicker than the front this difference will change making the rears even small.
Will this work at the speeds and bumpy track we drive at with out upsetting ABS and PSM....who's going 1st?

Discounttiredirect.com is as cheap as I've found. Their prices look to be a couple bucks higher than others until you realize they include shipping which actually then makes them better than the rest. < $1100 delivered including tax since I live in a state where they have a presence.

Would have replied earlier, but was at Miller in Utah with Hooked on Driving this past weekend, on the full track. Finally wore the third set to the chords midway through the first day, then put on a brand new set for the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday. My car did six 30-minute sessions Saturday and seven on Sunday. As usual, the tires were solid and performed great. Still hope Nitto steps up with the 315 in a higher profile -- then the doubters will be appeased and we can end this debate.

Any guinea pigs run them on a .2 yet? Pretty sure the ABS systems are the same. I figure the switchover will pay for itself on the first set of tires and I love NT-01's.

If they work on .1 they will work on .2 997's...since the overall diameters are the exact same with the stock tires.
