like it was posted already - a very simple solution is to use NT01 245 front tire with NT555R2 305 tire in the back. it should be way better than to go with R888.

Are we able to verify the compound and construction of the NT01 vs. the NT555RII as being identical?

i would think it is identical enough and should be better than R888 compound anyway.

The construction is different between the two tires. NT01 is a modulus rayon carcass, and the NT555RII is polyester. I have actually already asked Nitto tech support to look into this for me. I knew about this tire, and am waiting for them to contact me back about whether or not the construction differences are compatible on track. I'll call tech support again and check on it again.

I do remember somebody on Rennlist saying they had already used both tires, but I to be honest, a tire really doesn't show their true characteristics until pushed to their limit, and I don't know if that person was at that point.

Will post what they tell me as soon as I get a response.
