Exhausting weekend, but an absolute blast. A shower and night in my own bed last night felt absolutely amazing after 3 days of 2 hour cold tent sleeping shifts ever 12 hours, and lots of beer (and that damn Patron bar). Was great seeing everyone, can't wait till next year..... damn 48 hours of sebring is only 3 days away now!

That photo of the Bullet car with the front splitter destroyed is classic! Got a chance to meet Jeff on Friday - really great guy and I was so happy for the team. They staged and pitted next the Goldcrest/Burtin team, so, got to see them work up close.

One thing I will say - the pit crews put forth herculean efforts regardless of finishing in the top 3 or the bottom 5! I know there is tremendous tension driving, but, those teams pretty much work non-stop Wednesday thru Sunday, many times with volunteers.

Agreed, and if I was a driver, that is where the pressure would come from, to perform for those guys who put their hearts and souls in to it.

check out Bullet's front fenders and bumper/splitter combo..... Almost GT3 R spec....
Most of the other teams appeared to be using the stock 2010 CUP front fenders and bumper/splitter combo.

One thing is for certain, not many splitters made it out alive.

Bullet prepped my RS for the Targa 2011. Car was driven to the event across country non stop and raced all week with no issues. 6000 miles in 3 weeks.
The Boys can build a car to last.

I think the older Cup cars were given some leeway on use of fenders and the like. If I'm not mistaken, the Bullet and Burtin cars were both older - 2006/7? I could be wrong here, but, I think that was the case.
