Yes, BUT.
Say the Euro keeps collapsing and we get to parity as some say it will or might. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-0...-giavazzi.html
Now it's only $40K and I would ship the car there for install and back and leave it in Europe for a summer.

Breaking and drive your own GT3 with 4.3L Manthey at the Ring should be on anyone's bucket list!

Plus 25HP is all you need to drive the Supersolo DE CUP!

All said and done it is over $100k for me to goto a 4.0

Ive already did the calculation to goto a 4.0, almost pulled the trigger on one, but then I figured Peter would have a heart attack if Juan, John and me showed up in 4.0's

Spend $56k for motor and $10k for Extec shocks and Juan is a goner

And $2K slicks every weekend. 3.8 on slicks is faster then 4.0 on RA1's. or damn close.

I prefer you all get 4.0 and slicks so i can blame you guys' faster laptimes on my car. The onslaught of getting faster by the day RS drovers is getting a bit much for old TRAKCAR ;-)

+1 ... I think that's a plan for 2014/5 ... just in time to SPANK THE F*** out of any 991 GT3's ... Manthey 4.3 + their suspension! you can take your PDCC and PTV+ and shove it into the hideous center console!

Mezger uber alles...

I'm out of warranty in March 2014 with approx 36K miles, seems like a good time to upgrade the car will be ready by spring.

All we need is the EUR to plummet. If that happens before warranty runs out, I may ship it over sooner.

I wonder; Does Manthey have a non adjustable suspension were the soft button still works? Would it make more power / cost less if I tell them we have sea breezes instead of emission control in FL?

I think you may be "locally" optimizing here ... you *might* want to ponder the larger implications of this!

Not too the best of my knowledge, they typically "bin" PASM and go with custom valved/sprung KW 2/3-way systems...

I'm importer, only good things can come from the lower Euro, I'm ready for another 2008 do over..

Not sure if I'd want full KW..Maybe just revalve stock stuff.

I'm just taking a closer look at their pricelist...
Seems like the 40K even includes all the Ti Acro stuff, so it should be cheaper without fancy muffler work out the back. Just a steel CUP exhaust would do for me.

It's getting cheaper and cheaper by the minute here in my little fantasy world..

4.0 RS is overpriced.

4.0RS money buys a 09 Scuderia with no track time and less than 5,000 miles and a spare DFI 09 Cayman S as training wheels.

No need to change the coolant fittings, the RMS, the LSD, the monoball toe-links, the LCA bushings, the LCA bearings, the muffler in the Scuderia. Just a set of brake pads, flush the brake fluid, put some decent tires, and car is ready.

4.0 RS is overpriced. 3.8 RS is a better deal. TRAKCAR on slicks can run a 2:16.5 at Sebring.
