Default Izzone's Akrapovic install, Dyno and friends

As some of you saw in Izzone's recent thread we scheduled the install and dyno for his Akrapovic Cup system.
Car is a 2010 GT3 RS bone stock other than the Akrapovic system. No tune, no filter.
Here you will find some pictures and videos from the install and tomorrow morning the dyno sheets, as we are coming from a 22hs long day. So we deserve some rest.
We also weighed the stock system and the akrapovic. A interested fact is that the Stock GT3 RS titanium center muffler is lighter than the Akrapovic, but the quality is ... well I'll let you decide

Gains were obtained in the mid range, with no loss on power. We saw a 3-4whp difference up top (high rpm), but the car need more miles so the ECU could adapt to the different exhaust flow and back pressure change.
The sound on the Akrapovic cup system, is amazing, a deeper tone, at idle and a nice sound on the high RPM's, no drone at any RPM, we did highway test at different RPM's with different loads, and is just perfect.

Up on the lift for the removal

Dyno for baseline

The new system, roughly 30lbs lighter.

The Akrapovic exhaust build quality is amazing and the Sports Cup GT3 exhaust is a joy to listen to with the windows rolled down.

The low end torque suffers a little but after 4k RPMs.... it is a blast!!!!!!

Had it for about a year now and am still enjoying it from day one.

The exhaust tips will turn a pretty rainbow color inside the tips and will turn a nice burnt titanium color all around after a few heat cycles!!!!

Didn't realize that Randy had reinstalled the whole stock system. Or was that just for a baseline?

talk about an amazing event, Sounds like a fun time

I like the little heat sheild akropovik sells with the final muffler and side j pipe arrangement

How many miles does it typicaly take to see dme adjustment?

Is there no way to make the computor adjust right away? Unplugging the battery ?

Will the dyno results be different after the computor adjusts?

Usually 20-30 miles should be enough. By unplugging the battery you reset all the adaptations and 'learned' parameters.
Not that I know of ... you can keep the car on the dyno for longer periods, making pulls or simply running.
Not by much, but most likely will.

I want to say 435whp and 308 tq, but not 100% sure. I'll post the dyno files tomorrow.

Just post the dyno sheets for gods sake!!! You guys have been dragging this for too long. Everyone is waiting for the results I actually don't even want to hear the results because it's so unnecessary to spend so much money on an exhaust system instead of hiring a pro coach (for me).

So the car didn't loose any power or torque down low? Was the ECU stock?
