If im not mestaken you put a screw in the vac tube to cap off when disconnecting & removing the sport flaps/side mufflers

Akrapovic is simply the cream of the crop. I just put my "old" 3.8 Ak Evolution (valved) system on my 4.0. Truly glorious with the valves open.
Izzone saved massive weight by eliminating those side mufflers and prevented a CEL by keeping the OE headers. If you go with the Ak headers (100 cell cats) you will get a after-cat O2 sensor CEL. EvomsIT can fix that- you send ECU, or FVD has a flashloader now (I ordered one) for instant reprogramming.
Yes/No
1. No side mufflers = no valves = no Jeckyl/Hyde sound.
2. BUT of course the other functionality of Sport mode is still active- all the ECU/PSM/PASM changes.

Ive heard rumors of the heat making the rear muffler crack and a loss of power.....but no concrete evidence

FYI my side muffler was cracked, so I figure I take them off and replace with CUP connection pipes.
The reason I did not do that in the first place is because I love Sharky sound and I already broke the original Ti exhaust after a few track days bone stock.
I hope I like the new setup sound, if not I go back anyway.
Now I am not using the Ti one because I think it will break again, I am using a donated stock '07 GT3 center pipe instead. We will see how the steel center piece holds up.
You'd can also put a CUP center piece so you don't have to close one holeor you can put on a baller Acropovic like Izzone. It does look like jewelery!
We will dyno the car but who knows outside temps, we wanted to do it same day.
