I don't see any con, the pros are.
Firmer pedal feel and constant, but never felt the need of it on our cars.

Stock lines are great but they are replaced on cup cars every 40 hours due to stretching. To the best of my knowledge Cup Cars are required to run rubber lines in ALMS. Replaced mine with s/s lines before PBOC Daytona this year. Prior to this event I incurred a hard pedal for a consistent 68 hours of track use with the stock lines.

I agree, if you run rubber they need to be changed as a wear item

Pros

That female agent pretending to be a paddock girl would require 6.3 seconds more to sabotage the SS lines. Those few seconds can make the difference between life and death.

If a mini meteorite lands under your car as you are braking for T7 at Sebring, the SS lines would be the only thing to survive the crash and will help your local CSI team identify you.

The pedal is firmer and consistent for about 35% of the drivers, showing a close correlation with the world's population that seems susceptible to placebo effects.

Cons

150 usd or so..

you will cut a stock line only to realize that it not exactly made from soft rubber like the one in your old mustang..

The team that tests their cup cars that weekend, offers to buy your low hours stock lines in exchange for beer. (sadly they will give you 1 can only)

PS. When the stock ones become 4-5 years old, you can replace them with the cheaper SS ones..

Lol.
My 5K Mustang has steel lines and another 50k of go fast stuff.
We have our fingers crossed hoping it will last one evening at pbir this Wednesday evening during pre winter feet testing. It would mean the first complete day without breaking or overheating the mustang in over 18 months. I know all about pointless upgrades.

Techna Fit makes very good quality SS lines for the .1 GT3s, not sure if they have them for the .2s

They are the only SS lines we have found that retain the OE rub protection. i.e. the coiled protection on the front lines

We (FD Motorsports) only sell Techna Fit for this reason. and they are DOT certified, for what that's worth

Not sure it matters as much on an 07 and newer GT3 but when it comes the earlier 911s like the 993, it is definitely time if it hasn't been done

They are only about $100 for the set and I'm putting them on mine. Still not sure why though
I need to check with them on the 10-11 GT cars...
