Default OZ vs HRE or other

I am considering OZ vs HRE wheels for my 10 GT3. The OZ seem to be the best value. Any thoughts on which wheels to buy?

My situation:

2010 GT3 without trailer. I drive to 3-4 DE per year, and someday may put the stock seats back in for DD (GT2 racing seats and DAS rollbar currently), along with the stock wheels. I will continue tracking with Pilot Sports or Corsas instead of dedicated track tires on the new wheels given my need to drive to events.

I like the looks of the OZ wheels, and they are cheaper. The weight seems to be similar compared with the HREs and other premium wheels.

Thoughts are appreciated.

I have the OZ cast ones not the superforgiatas.

Good wheels. No problem with centerlocks or anything else on my 10 GT3.

I went with the stock GT3 size in the rear, and the RS in the front to get the extra 1/2" of wheel width.

------------------
Thinking of getting the superforgiatas because I can't use the the RS sized front wheels for national autocrosses because the car is going into Super Stock and I can't use different sized wheels than what was available when I bought the car, and the forgiatas are lighter than stock.

I also bought extra set of OEM's. I think they are cheaper from Suncoast now than when I bought them in the first part of 10 from Suncoast.

Now I want the superforgiatas, and probably will get rid of my RS OZ front, and maybe my OZ stock sized rears.....
--------------------------
Can't go wrong the OZ's and the price is right.

You can never go wrong with HRE. Their products are fantastic, fit ,finish are second to no one. Customer service is also the very best. They stand behind their products period. You get what you pay for, cry once.

OZs are the best bang for the buck, followed by CCW. For a wheel you're going to beat up at the track, I don't see a reason to spend more.

OZ's, no doubt. ~$650 per wheel and you can beat the **** out of them on the track. I can buy 3+ sets for the price of one set of ..... ( fill in the blank).

But then again, I'm not a baller...

We have fantastic Rennlist pricing on Forgeline wheels also!! Drop us a note and we can put a package together. HRE quality but no where near the cost!

Cheers

The OZ forged wheel, the Superforgiata, is the HRE competitor. It is more than the 650.oo cast OZ wheel. For comparison, the OZ wheels go for 5350.00 on Tirerack for a set of four for the GT3 centerlock. The HREs are 6,920.oo for a set of four. The OZ wheels are only 17.5 lbs for fronts and 21.8 for rears. I haven't seen the HRE weights yet, but likely similar. The OZ are painted, the HRE brushed.

For a one piece forged wheel the new Forgeline GA1R we can offer well below the price of the forged OZ. Your choice of low temp powder coated colors.

I just added back alot of unsprung weight by taking off my ceramic discs and replacing them with StopTech iron because I didn't want to replace ceramics after lots of track time. So, I am very interested in shedding some unsprung weight with this wheel switch. Since all of the forged wheels should be plenty strong for my DE events, I am very interested in the lightest wheel among those. Do you have weights for the Forgelines?
