Giesha gets a makepver / Izzone comes clean
With five weeks in between track events I decided to give Giesha a freshening up. If I lived in a northern state with months of no track…..I would be in modding trouble.
Giesha was shipped from Mooty to me in April 2011. She had 4500 miles, not sure of how many track, she was on stock pads with non cracked rotors so probably not many…..Mooty was in love with a stripper at this point.
Mooty ordered Giesha with zero options, radio delete, sticker delete, red/white, no cupholder, leather steering wheel. His only mod was Tarrett toe links and locking bolts for the eccentrics.
Since April I have had quite a journey with Giesha at many tracks. 34 DE days, 6,000 track miles. She now has 12,400 total miles. Below is he “experience”
Sebring / 16 days
Roebling / 6 days
VIR / 2 days
Autobahn / 2 days
Road America / 2 days
Mosport / 2 days
Mid Ohio / 3 days
Watkins Glen / 2 days
As far as reliability (all warranty); transmission, clutch, pressure plate, leaky oil line on rear of motor.
Motor oil is changed every four days, transmission / dif every 10 days
Originally I was running Motul brake fluid…..kept cooking it at Sebring……now SRF and zero problems
I went through (1) set OEM front rotors, (1) set rear OEM rotors, (1) set front PFC slotted rotors
Now to the freshing up, I have always disliked the attention the red RS gets (also do not like baller gold). With a little color encouragement from Trakcar, Giesha went to surgery. I wanted a cup car clean look. All red got painted white (lips, mirror, endplates), 4.0 dive planes were installed in white, washer nipples painted white, wheels were painted GT Silver (the best color for a wheel ever). Now that all parts are out of paint and mostly installed….this is how a RS should look. The red seat belts were also getting dirty so door pulls and seat belts were changed out for black.
While the parts were off to paint, I decided to do some more TSB updates…….some problematic people on this forum have called me a “cheater”. One of them sniffed around in my garage recently……so I figured I would come clean with all updates…..and give some of you a shopping list
(2) sets GMG WC 18” centerlock wheels in matte black / Toyo RA1 tires
Stock LSD repacked with 2011 cup car internals – Orbit Racing
PFC two piece slotted rotors – front
PFC08 pads
SRF fluid flush
Front and rear cup car caliper studs
Front and rear cup car brake puck holders
Tarrett front monoball end
Tarrett rear monoball end
Tarrett front thrust arm bushing (adjustable)
Tarrett rear thrust arm bushing (adjustable)
Tarrett rear upper controls arm links
Tarrett rear toe arms
Tarrett locking plate kit
Tarrett front tie rod
Tarrett front drop links
Tarrett rear drop links
Verison 2 clubsport cage (two tab design)
Brey Kraus roll bar fire extinguisher mount
Brey Kraus sub bars
Schroth harness; driver HANS, passenger non HANS
Traqmate with Go Pro
TCD toe hook
Rennline track mats
ERP pedals
GT3RS4.0 dive planes
Carbon fiber gurney lip for wing - Orbit Racing designed
Sharkwerks track exhaust (for loud tracks, to **** off Erik) / Akrapovic sport cup exhaust (for sound sensitive tracks)
If you are still reading this, below are the pictures I have taken so far of the new colors. The Akra exhaust is not in yet, so for the time being the rear is still apart……then off to the dyno to test the Akra system
Once it is all back together Mdrums is going to stop by for a photo shoot….ill post better pics then…..for now enjoy the teasers
I did 100 % of the disassembly / reassembly by myself using RL DIY threads......and lots of liquid encouragement

wheel is very nice.
however, you should really just take out all the useless crap in the car, like those fuzzy carpets, are rest, AC and such.

All the other stuff I've tracked with
LSD, hands down best mod. Stabilizes car....but also makes car less forgiving
Solid mount rear, car takes a set quicker....tire wear is much better. Again car is less forgiving
Gurney lip makes high speed corners more stable

dude, just buy a baller 44' gooseneck, i am sure the bimmer diesel can pull it.
the hitchball would be near the armrest of the rear seat. that's why you have sun roof.
where is trakcar when you need him?
he will convince you.

Super nice and it's cool you are doing most of the work yourself! When you replace suspension parts are you doing an alignment like a string alignment yourself?

Well executed!
That would be my dream legacy.
Lightweight , race proven, min spec and gizmos , black (ok even white or gray), no decals, silver wheels (no CLs ! ) GT cars.
Can I write a letter to Santa or am I too old?
