Default HANS Quick Release or Post Anchor Collar?

Hi guys,

Shopping for a HANS Sport II and want opinions on whether I should get a Quick-Click Anchor Release tether or standard Post Anchor Collar?

Thanks for your opinions.

In theory, sliding tethers are the better choice but you need to be sized properly. The QR anchors add weight to the helmet and the fixed post tethers limit side vision.

I have the standard posts. Side vision is limited, but I haven't found it to be a problem yet.

Post anchors here. Never had an issue. The quick release ones just seem like an added complication. I can take off the regular posts just fine.

Since you didn't ask about sliding v fixed tethers I assume you are decided on this part. I really like the sliding if you're looking for an opinion though

I use the qr and like them
Simple to use and in the event you need to free your helmet from your Hans in a hurry it is quite easily done

Correct, decided on sliding. Still undecided about quick release vs. regular posts...

The regular posts are easy to manage when you get the hang of it.
You may actually end up putting the helmet and the HANS together without disconnecting the tethers in the end.
F1 drivers all seem have regular posts.

I have used both, and actually like the regular posts better than the QR.

Same here. The QR release tethers (those dangling red strands) feel weird, like freaking long earrings on either side of the helmet. I have no problems releasing my post anchors if I need to. Not that I separate my HANS from my helmet that often...
