the gains with a tune alone are not big, but if you go for headers, exhaust and tune, you can pick up power thru the powerband.

Hey.

A simple remapping without adding some stuff like another exhaust with headers makes nearly no sense.

Go for an Akrapovic Evolution Race with 100 cpsi catalysts... You´ll gain 17 hp and you make the car 57 lbs lighter...

For 10hp it's not worth it , like Yannick sugested your better off with an Akrapovic evolution race and a BMC filter..

dont bother.

not many people have a true tune figured out.

and besides, why mess with a good thing?

go get a sharkwerks bi-pass and you will be happy

10HP from the tune = US$ 1500
15hp from the akrapovic = US$ 10500

A cost effective option is a Sharky track exhaust and a tune. For around 3500.00 you get decent gains.
Obviously the best option would be the Akrapovic and tune, but also costy.

Have thought about remapping my car, until I did a side by side with a friend who had the RevoTek tune on his car. Even showed me the dyno map - 12 hp increase.

Of course, in the real world, our 2 side by side attempts from 60-140mph were identical... no difference whatsoever.

Don't waste your money.

Even the Sharkwerks guys say that the map only quickens throttle response or something which gives the appearance of more power.

take the money you want to spend on nickel and diming the tuning kit and spend it on the nut behind the wheel, this is the best possible upgrade and transfers without cost to all future cars.

USD$10,500 will buy a lot of tires and brake pads. I know where I'd spend my money.

I don't have one, but the sprint booster would do that for much less.
