evoms make some really nice intake kits, i got one on my r32, so i wouldn't be surprised if they come up with a new v-flow design for the 3.8 real soon.

Porsche had to change/modify airbox, intake manifold, cats, and ECU to get the last 25hp out of the RS 4.0. Not sure it makes much sense to change one without addressing the others....

this is what I did, at the end, adding a second inlet on the decklid

breathing better, but not a major improvement on performance

I think 2 conical filters will work even better, but I couldn't find a simple solution to apply at GT3 mk1

next step will be exhaust (I am considering Shark Werks bypass) and 100 cells catalyst (maybe 2011 cup version or RS 4.0), then I will see if and which improvement will that produce after some ECU re-dressing

Won't that configuration pull in hot engine compartment air?

and the plenum...

this has been beat to death for years on GT3s....Airbox, throttle bodys and plenums and ECU flashes....there is no majic HP gain!

in fact in a lot of cases HP was lost....ask the experts that have spent hrs and hrs trying this....

yes CF will add some flash and dent your wallet but that is it on a GT3

+1. Porsche already tweaked these NA motors for max hp. Short of a displacement increase or FI, we are not going to see major gains.
