mail your 4.0 to europe in the spring. then have a truly epic road trip. good idea on keeping it out of the snow and associated salt! if you are in southern arizona, drive up to Tombstone. some nice roads up to it and would be hilarious to see a german super car parked at the OK Corral.

Driving a 4.0 cross country in late November is a real adventure. I hope you encounter good weather throughout your trip.

Good snowfall this weekend up here. Still 60 degrees on the Front Range but some of the mountains are getting 1+ feet of snow. I wouldnt even think about considering anything that is near I-70. And down south near Colorado Springs got hit with snow last week. Have to stay south of Taos I would think.

We're basically going to stay near I-10. It looks like there are some interesting roads in SW NW and SE AZ, but they may get back into elevation. Reliant on the iPad/iPhone weather to help us avoid snow.

Thanks for all the help. We ended up going on our original northern route because the weather was completely clear from Johnson City, TX to LA. That worked just fine (no surprises). Here's a snapshot from Utah.

^ Awesome shot. 200 miles is the longest road trip I've done in my .1 RS and loved every moment of it. I'm sure you're enjoying 10x more with that beast. Please write some impression of the car 4.0 (cabin noise etc) when you get a chance.

As requested, here is my write up of the car from this trip. Again, thanks to everyone who helped in the planning.
