Default ECR Lap times?

In street legal cars, what kind of times are you getting at ECR? I am specifically interested in 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 and GT3 RS times, but feel free to respond if you own other models or manufacturers.

Just a guess, but low 2's like 2:01 to 2:04 for a decent driver. Really good drivers could be as much as 4-5 seconds quicker.

Thanks. I guess I am in the "decent" category, but now I have something to look forward to...

I want to get under 2:00

Don't know the track, but always more fun if you know what to "shoot" for

Peter, the track is not Sebring by any means, and it is a very bumpy track. The PCA events help a lot, and the instructors are great. I need more seat time, and more instruction.

Here is the track layout.

I did the DE/club race weekend there at the end of October. The cup cars were doing 1:53-1:56.

Doug Bielefeld ran 1:52 in his cup on slicks. He previously ran 1:57 in his 600 hp 996 GT2 (EVO Stage 4) on Michelin slicks. The fastest spec Boxster, John Gladwell, ran 2:01 on class specific R888s. John has run 2:00 before.

Anything below 2:10 is good (this is where most of the spec Boxster pack is) and a typical yellow driver in a decent car. There are only a few spec boxsters who run below 2:05. The faster drivers in white will be under 2:05 on street tires. Faster street cars can be under 2:00 on Hoosiers.

I think a GT3 should be under 2:00 at ECR. Althought I haven't been to ECR in a while, I was running 2:05s in my based model 996. And you should easily be a few seconds faster than the spec barbie.

Yes sir, well driven GT3 street cars on Hoosiers are under 2:00, even in DE traffic. Although we certainly can't hang with the 997 Cups.

How you doing "himself"? Long time no see - like maybe September last year at MSR with Patrick?. I did see some interesting photos from MSR Houston however. Coolant tank problem?

^ Been alright. Houston is treating me well, but making it more difficult to get to MSR and ECR. I did lose a coolant hose at MSR-H recently. Wasn't that exciting for me, but those behind me tell a different story

Was hoping to see the "crew" again with Patrick this year, but so far hasn't happened yet.

How are things with you and your sled?

Bummer we didn't get a repeat on this event this year. Hopefully next....
