I can install the x-pipes on 3.8 and it is only a month old so when someone PPI the car at the shop, I'm planning to ask them to switch back to stock at my cost. Love the sound with those on and like the idea of shaving off few pounds. Besides, I don't know what to do with the stock exhaust.

Beautiful car......I would not sell for a 3.8

I am not sure the 3.8 is as robust as the 3.6

Why do you say that? Not as robust part. Are 3.8L less reliable?

Seen this car in person, looks fantastic and drives great. Ken is a great guy and the buyer is going to get a beautiful RS.

yep - that rings a bell "RS green"

knew you'd have the green goods, Ed!

Just an opinion

I do not know of many 3.6 that go boom.....just leak oil

I know of more than a handfull of 3.8 that have went boom

The green RS is tbest looking ever. If you worry about handing....send to Gavin, install Extec....you will out handle all 997.2 RS

When my warranty is up.....I will clean the car, back to stock and enjoy for minor track days. Buy 996 GT3...strip.....run full slicks, extec, cage, cartronics sequential, re-gear and pick on my 997.2 GT3 friends.......and maybe do some TT

It might even be sooner.....if I find the right 996 GT3 I will buy and hide in Peters warehouse from home unitil friends 4,000 sq ft shop is done

The green goods...indeed, David! Well, my love affair with 'Signal Green' started in the summer of 2007 when I first saw the PTS 997.1 911S that I would eventually purchase earlier this year. It was one of only three 997's painted this rare color in the US and ordered by two enterprising dealers (one in CA and another in Texas) on pure spec. 'Signal Green' is a vintage early 911 color first offered by Porsche in 1968. It was always 'special order' and not that many early 911's were done in this color. 'Viper' and 'Conda' were later vintage 911 green colors that proved more popular. 'Signal Green' has the most 'yellow' of all of the Porsche greens we often hear about - 'Viper', 'Conda' or 'RS Green'. These last three colors have a lot more 'blue' than 'yellow' in their color mix, vs 'Signal Green'!

Below is a photo I took of the 'Signal Green' 997.1 (when it was one year old in 2008 and still owned by my friend) next to a '07 997.1 gt3 RS done in 'RS Green'. The photo was taken at a 'R Gruppe' event in Cambria, CA. It is only when you see 'Signal Green' side by side next to 'RS Green' that you realized how different the two colors really are! The 'RS Green' RS is # WP0AC29927S792983, then owned by Eade Hopkinson. This is the car I believed was purchased by Mikymu and later Fritz Flynn. It was also recently offered for sale in this forum. Saludos, Eduardo (Carmel)

Love that car!
Much more pleasing visually than the 3.8, my favorite P car of recent time.

Goodness I really want this car... UGH. Closing on a new house in a few days, baby on the way... it's going to have to wait. Good luck with the sale - but not TOO much luck!

Damn, some of you are making me not want to sell it. Now I'm thinking if I should keep her longer and see how 7.2 market will do during this winter. Thanks a lot for those who showed interests regardless.

You may enjoy the 3.8, but I think you will miss the green.
