Thanks mate and you have the best color 996TT of all time. Can't find those ever

Actually we sent one out and once we take delivery they'll pop it on for us at the dealership. Wouldn't drive it any other way hah!

There are two simple things that set Porsche GT cars apart from the pack:

1) Trackdays
2) Roadtrips

And the fact that both are superb with the same package is an absolute flippin' miracle.

Also, the varying speed and load, as well as the long heat cycles on a roadtrip, is a great way to break in a brand new GT3/RS (just pretend you do not have cruise control on this trip ).

Have Fun!

Hi Doug, thanks for the kind words. And I'm really jazzed about it too. I've always had rather boring break-ins normally so this one will be much more exciting. Indeed once she's broken in by AZ and tuned might be a good thing to shake her down at the yocal track Cruise control? What's that

Thank you sir. We did go all Steve on it... Dan on the 1st leg and prolly James on leg 2. His expertise will be needed at EVOMS

Too bad it doesn't have the Surf Board attachments on the roof lol! I might be needing some waves by the time we get to the West Coast!

2. Alex, I'm in Columbia, MO which I can't tell from your Map, but it looks like you might be coming through here. Its straight west 2 hours from St. Louis on I-70. If you guys like beer we have a local brewery that you might be interested in.

It would be awesome to meet the brains behind the madness at Sharkwerks and if possible take a ride in your shiny new Smurf.

Edit: Also just want to give you guys a headsup, the weather is going to be mid-50's to low 60's. Just an FYI, In case you Californians are not used to such weather.

Hey our pleasure and so glad you like the sound! I'll check the route with Dan this next day or two as it'd be cool to meet up! I'm from the UK (London) so I'm not used to ever wearing shorts or a T-shirt. At least not until I moved here so I appreciate the heads up. I'll bring my long-sleeves!

[quote=sharkster]
Perhaps seeing those Gulf 917s at Rennsport Reunion IV............we sort of got hooked on blue... Apparently as 1 of 4 gulf-themed blue/orange motif 2011 GT3RS, it’s pretty blooming-stacked with options which include, BDCLR 98 ad DZL orange graphics/paint, PCCBs, ............../QUOTE]

Hey Alex,

Wishful thinking on the "Gulf Blue" angle, but your new 3.8RS is in fact Riviera Blue NOT Gulf Blue.

Your car, VIN #:WP0AC2A97BS783555 is one of four (4) PTS Riviera Blue 3.8RS as referenced by PCNA and Riviera Blue is even stated as the color on the Isringhausen website.

Riv Blue is a few shades deeper and richer than Gulf Blue but most people don't realize this unless both colors are parked side by side at an event.

As you know, I am partial to Riv Blue ........
