Default Looking to be schooled on GT3 RS

I need a quick lesson on these cars. I am from the Corvette realm and am looking for a change of pace. Just gotten tired of the Vettes.

I've driven a couple of the 996 GT3's when I have been instructing at Barber and RA, and love the way the cars feel. So why not bump up to a RS???

So in hunting for these cars I'm finding some, but the color selection is not really what I want. And getting any info on what colors they were produced in has yielded no results. Yellow is my primary choice, followed by dark blue. What are my options for a .2 GT3 RS?

I believe in the .2GT3 RS Yellow was not offered...maybe it could have been made with Porsche's Paint To Sample program.

There is a really nice well set up Blue .2RS for sale by a very respected forum member, Savyboy. Search this forum for him and his thread.

Welcome to rennlist too...you've come to the right place on the internet for Porsche.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I looked at Savyboy's car, nice car, right color, just a bit modified for what I am looking for.

As far as "Everything matters but the color", can't do white or black. White is just a blank canvas waiting for some paint, and after owning a black car, never again will I torture myself keeping one clean. Although I was sorely tempted a month ago at the Porsche dealership with a a white RS on the floor.

Welcome!

White, blue or grey with probably half of them white and the rest mostly grey.

You can always wrap it. White ones are the fastest. Everyone knows, like the CUP cars..

Blue's are hardest to find and look especially nice with white/gold accents as do the white and grey ones.
There are very few PTS RS out there.
If you want another color you probably have to look for a GT3, but you could be missing must have goodies, like gearing seats, DEM's.

White was a 5K rip off option on the '07/'08 GT3RS, free on the '10/11 3.8 and 4.0 just like on every other car...

Though not inexpensive, here is a lovely blue one (personally, not a fan of the wheels though)

These are good guys to deal with as well - straight up no nonsense (ask for Jonathan)

(no affiliation other than I bought my car from them)
