On a positive note, I did finally get a 2011 GT3rs in Aqua Blue. I just love that color and had been holding out for one. Picking it up on Orlando over next week or so.
ON the lap times.... I can't see any way in hell a stock RS on hoosiers can get to a 2:15 at Sebring. Even a 4.0RS on Hoosiers. Maybe a 4.0RS on slicks.
I've done the low 13's in a 996 cup, faster still in a 997 cup, and even if you are a fairly good amateur you are hanging on for dear life in the 13 range. I.E. foot to the floor flat thru bishop, and I cant see doing that in a street car.
Maybe I will be proven wrong but I would have to see Motec data to believe it.
Maybe high 16 low 17 range for a 3.8RS on hoosiers, and thats with a great driver.

If a 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 stock with R6 is capable of 2:15 at Sebring, the same car on Michelin slicks would easily run 2:13.
BS !!!
On slicks, the GT3 RS 3.8 cannot touch the lap times of a 996 GT3 Cup or a 2009 GT3 Cup. The times I posted for 996 and 997 GT3 Cups are from ALMS/IMSA top level talent, not PCA Club Racers.
If you think IMSA top level talent isn't fast, check their lap times and qualifying times in the 2011 GT3 Cup and compare them to the Pros running in ALMS GTC (the best GT3 Cup drivers in America). The top level of IMSA is as fast as most Pros.
These IMSA guys are lapping a 2009 GT3 Cup in 2:11s-2:12s, and years ago the 996 GT3 Cup where in the 2:13-2:14 (on Michelin Yellow slicks), with the current generation green/blue Michelin slicks the GTC3 legal 996 GT3 Cup might be in the 2:12-2:13 range.
There is no way a bone stock or lightly modified (Reter's special) 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 is lapping in the same territory as the 996 GT3 Cup and 2009 997 GT3 Cup.
...and by the way, a 997.1 GT3 with exhaust, GT3 Cup 4.00:1 R&P, track setup, aftermarket LSD, and slicks!!! of course this car can do 2:19.5 driven by a Pro even with a 250 lbs passenger.
2:15s on R6 and stock GT3 RS 3.8 with a Pro driving? not happening either.
Reter ran a 2:19.999 (that's a 2:20 in my book), his car is not stock, and he's got one miracle lap where he only gained by getting closer to a Pro driver, a Pro cannot drop 2 secs from Reter's miracle lap. I have Traqmate data from this Chris Hall guy, and data from Reter, and the Reter boy can drive.
2:13 in Stock RS 3.8 on slicks. BS
2:15 in Stock RS 3.8 on R6. BS
2:19 in stock 997.1 GT3 on R6, + 250 lbs passenger + Hot Summer. BS
