Targa Newfoundland 2011 outcome
After a long painful week of flat out racing on closed roads and one hurricane the event has passed and left behind a boat load of experiences both good and bad.
The RS finished 3rd overall and 2nd in class (due to a catastrophic downpour on stage during Hurricane Maria) behind the factory backed Viper ACR.
It was stiff competition and the RS handled everything well.
Apart from being competitive, it was the only car in the competition which drove across canada nonstop to take part in the event. 10000kms in two weeks.
Says a lot about the car. Especially since i never had a chance to test the new rally spec suspension until race day.
That being said some people were not as lucky as others.
A porsche 996 turbo ended up in a pond, my team mate had his parked subaru rear ended/distroyed, an Evo barrel rolled, an Enzo FXX landed in the ocean and a spectator was injured. Lots of other things here and there as usual in a rally.

drumroll......
the best and worst picture of the event......
great owner/driver personality along with his super cool co-driver, ex racer Roland Linder.

An FXX flew into the Ocean? I would love to hear that story from the owner's perspective.
Also the jump picture is awesome, talk about ***** of steel.
Two wheel drive Porsche racing on
1) wet street roads - crazy
2) wet street roads with car airborne and turn approaching
The best part:
