We do need a better windshield protection solution.
Mine is getting to beat up to look through after 5 track events.

Update 1.

Seems to hold up very well.
Not the tiniest scratch on my car so far and the rubber comes off easy after a track event.

Freshly detailed today after track weekend that rained non stop.
If it does not stop raining now, I might have to take taxi home LOL.

So far so lucky, my commute to work and back were dru yesterday and today so she's still shiney in the garage. Going in this week for a new windshield cover and a few touch ups to fix some small install issues, but Pepi really stands behind his work so I'm not worried. The film surface really looks like the day he put it on..

I should have taken "before" pics.

This is what I was doing Saturday:
FF to 1:40 and 5:50 LOL.

Plus a couple of track days, so plenty black rubber marks. You guys should advertise the XPEL cleaning and protection stuff you sell in a bottle because it really works. If I had not asked about it I would not have known it existed.

Car looks great BTW. Maybe I need an extra layer of black film/vinyl over the rear quarters....mine are getting hammered.

What the usual cost on getting a car fully wrapped with Clear film? Any price difference with matte film or Vinyl? I heard vinyl is cheaper?

My Xpel is holding up great too. Installed by Auto Paint Guard in September and now has 8 track days on it.

It's like tear offs, like clear bra only tinner, but kinda permanent.
There are specific companies out there that make the stuff.

I had the best result with clearplex.comit lasted a year and 30 track days, but I should have replaced it sooner.
The racer stuff only lasts about 10 track days and scratches more because of the windshield wipers and you notice it more on the windshield, more distortion.

I have some grey spots that won't come out, but this was after 48Hours right after Peugeot went testing there. They left gigantic base ball size rubber that looked and felt tar like.

It was so bad that 2 of my 3 front grills got ripped and bashed in. So not normal wear and tear, even for tracking. The impressive thing is that the film surface has no damage at all. Looks like new except for the few grey spots from the crazy glue Peugeot rubber. My windshield cover is way more battered then my front bumper!

So very tough stuff. I do start to get very light yellowing in the back of the car, but nowhere near as bad as the other brands I triied and very noticable on white. I doubt you will see it on any other color.

I do have some dirt lines where they did not wrap around all the body panels, again most noticable on a white car, but Supershield will correct that when I take the time to bring my car by.

I bought all the XPEL cleaning and protection sprays and tell my car washer guy to only use that. Not sure how much that helps.

Not perfect, but the best on the market now and concidering how much I track, I can't expect miracles.

Rennlist, I am waiting for my Tesla Model S delivery in a few weeks and looking for the aftermarket protection film. Several questions:
1. It looks like XPEL Ultimate film is a good product, how is it compared to Avey Nano?
2. Any recommendation for a good installer in North Carolina (Raleigh/Cary/Durham/Chapel Hill region)
3. I look up XPEL site but cannot local Tesla Model S on their list?
4. Does XPEL Ultimate support full hood coverage (60")?
