Default Used car prices going up ?? GT3 ???

Just wanted some opinions....

My 2003 S2000 has gone up in value recently.

I think same thing with my 08 M3 Sedan.
---------------------

How about my 3500 mile Yellow 10 GT3 ? Bought new in March of 10. 140k OTD.

Not that I am interested in selling, but I wonder if the general price increase in the used car market is also holding true for our GT3's.

Your GT3 would probably trade less than 100K and sell by a dealer right over 100K

S2000's are going up because they stopped making them a while ago. I think the 997 gt3's will not really go up but should not drop as much, especially low mileage ones.

Remember that the '03 S2000 was last year for 9K rpm engine, and low mileage ones are very hard to find....I never should have sold mine!

nothing is really going "up". (except certain vintage cars)

but certain things from the last 10 year are holding steady and or depreciating slower then typical market.

Carrera GT
993
Ford GT
etc....

GT3 is not going up in price....... especially with release of 991.

The day my RS is worth full sticker again is the day im in a wheel chair collecting old age pension.

Manheim values seem to be holding, at least over the period I was watching (Feb to July). I would guess that the future value of the 997 GT3 will be proportional to the public's reaction to the 991. But if I could predict markets.....

I bought my cherry 2003 S2000 at carmax in 08 for 15,900.....like about 17,000 OTD.

Only had like 18,000 miles. I saw this car on line a few days before priced at like 17,900, and then I saw it again at 15,900 and snatched it up.

Changed alignment, and put on a big front sway bar, Gendron.

I love this car, and now have like 24,500 on the clock.

PS........i have only done one oil change in 3 years....i am a bad boy (no other maintenance at all....i guess i should !!!!)
