Default Binking Airbag Light After Reset (996 Seats)

I installed Euro 996 GT3 seats in my 997.1 RS. Guys at my shop used PIWIS to reset airbag lights so module isn't looking for thorax bags or occupancy sensor. Airbag light blinks 10 times after startup (then goes out). They claim this is best they can do. Not sure state inspectors will approve.

Is this the standard reset outcome after installing seats without thorax bags?

Totally normal.

Inspector guy won't even notice.
If he does, just tell him, which is true, it is the cycle that the computer goes through checking the car's systems - the light going off = everything is ok.

I believe, but could be mistaken, that when my 2007 first came out this didn't happen but some computer software upgrade later made this happen.

This is actually just the car letting the driver know that something in the system has been deactivated. It's perfectly fine and all the airbags (that were left active) will function as designed.
