Mike, XR1 or XR2. You need to call Cobalt directly and talk to one of their tech guys. They are located in the Ft Lauderdale area. That is if you want to try them.

Thanks...I really do want to try them out. I see they have a DE drive to the track type of pad....or some race pads.

I'd like a pad that stops like the Yellow/Black combo I have but that helps the rotors last a little longer.

I'm also going to try out the Cyro process on my next set of stock rotors and see if that helps.

PFC doesn't make the 08 or 06 compound for my brakes. I tried the The 97 and then 01 compound and there was way to much heat transfer to the caliper and the 97 and 01 ate the rotors more than the Pagid Yellow/Black combo I've been using.

In the near future pfc will only make two compounds

01 and 08

97 and 01 are going bye bye

Don't get me wrong as I like PFC also, run them on the M3 and they do well. 01's are good for about 8 Chin days depending on
Track and I have a set of 06's on now. Not run much Pagid $$$$$ but I stay away from Hawk and Carbotech.

Randy is HARD on brakes as I have never boiled fluid in the M3 but Randy managed it at RA. I was pulling more G's coming into 10a so it must be his style, or lack of it.

85Gold, how can you use those 01's....I did 5 laps at Sebring and they already started to crack my rotors, puts grooves in them and change the red caliper to brown! I had to go back to Pagid for this.

I'm really interested in these Cobalt pads though.

I heard many Porsche cup teams during testing disliked PFC pads. Too many problems during heavy breaking. Porsche allowed teams to go back and use Pagids after numerous requests.
