Really transforms the look of the car. Liked the original deep dish OZ's, but these kinda freshen up the look.
I'm sure not to everyone's liking, but they're quite rare, and fairly light.
Some would object to mixing Ruf + Manthey, given the two outfits have very different philosophies...

Nice wheels and 5 bolt to boot.
Here's what Manthey website has to say about them (web translation):
NEW: Ultra-light wheels MM1 brings 13 kg weight saving!
True to make the philosophy that in the long and successful experience of motorsport expertise customers with street-legal Porsche cars available to bring MANTHEY MOTORS now with the brand new 19 "rim MM1 real winner technology on the road, of course, with TÜV-certificate!
An outstanding feature of the MM1 is designed and manufactured exclusively for Manthey sports rim, the highly effective reduction of unsprung and rotating masses by 13 kg per set (compared with standard wheel set Porsche 997 GT2; even greater weight savings with Carrera, etc.)!
To vehicle dynamics to achieve the same effect, as would nearly 80 kg The body will be taken!
The one-piece forged wheels and 5x comes in sizes 9x19/ET 45 (VA) and 12x19/ET 68 (HA). An exclusive in MM identification rim emphasizes the unique features of the MM1 and visually.
The original Porsche hub caps can be used.

Help me understand how these MM1 at et45 do not stick out farther than et51 on 9x19 wheels?
See the Forgelines in was looking at I was quoted a et44 for the front of my GTS...this doesn't compute.

thanks for the kind words. haven't been posting here much, but there's an old thread or two about the car from years back.
its a first gen Ruf RT12 which was delivered in around September '06. Picked it up at the factory in Pfaffenhausen and after 1,000+ km token running in period, gave it its 'Ring stripes before shipping it home to Asia. it was one of the earlier RT12's produced AFAIK, so factory rated at 650hp crank.
the car definitely feels somewhat crude now, compared to the latest gen 2 911's. it has lots of turbo lag, relative to say, a GT2RS... but I did a GPS verified 217mph run in it a few years back, so its not too bad.
Finally decided on getting new wheels because the original OZ's had started to leak air from where the 3-pcs of the wheels seal. there's some kind of black tar-like goo that would ooze out, and it turns out this was the original sealant that had given up over the years. something about the combination of high heat and acidic water around these parts i'm told. nothing major, but definitely i'd need to top up some PSI every couple of days.
so perfect excuse to give the car a slight refresh.
I considered many options... HRE's, ADV's, BBS... i particularly liked the BBS F.I.'s because they're so crazy light. But they were so hard to find at the time, and I wasn't convinced the design would be as timeless as something more... traditional? Anyway, it was a toss-up, and the Manthey's got my nod because 1) i just love that company and what they stand for (if you're ever at the 'Ring, their workshop is a MUST visit); and 2) they were very quick to respond to all questions via email.
will have the original wheels refurbished at Tirerack probably, as they seem well equipped to do this.

Ok so I'm really confused.....offset of these wheels...the front for a GT3 stock on a 8.5x19 stock wheel is et53....I've seen 9x19 at et51 for GT3 and the wider track GT3RS is at et48
Help me understand how these MM1 at et45 do not stick out farther than et51 on 9x19 wheels?

obviously this means that the effective total weight of the wheels is more than what Manthey have quoted on their site. But the wheels are pretty light to start with, so even with the spacers, they're quite light. though if absolute weight savings is the goal, AFAIK, the BBS F.I.'s and / or ADV's are the way to go...
I've always been taught that using spacers and longer studs is not ideal, for all the intuitive reasons of having more stress due to leverage.
But Manthey run that setup exactly on their 'Ring GT2, and I'd trust uncle Olaf more than just about anyone else about what works and what doesn't. in any case, my car is not a track car anyway, so am not too fussed.

hi... for the wheels to work with wide bodied 997's, Manthey provides spacers and wheel studs.

A)Stock GT3 is 8.5x19 et53
B)OZ and some others are 9x19 et51...pushed way out to the edge of the fender plus the .5" wider wheel
C)Forgeline quotes me a 9x19 at et44....to me that would be way out past the fender
D)The MM1 is listed at 9x19 et46 and you say you run spacers too?
