Izzone, sounds like an awesome event... Gonna look into organising some time off to get there and meet some of you guys but it'll likely be as spectator/ photographer/ grafitti artist

Driving a LHD car at speed on an unfamiliar track without an instructor, half way around the world sounds like a recipe for disaster unless they rent cars to Fred Flintstone with track insurance and little excess

ps. What major airport should I look at flying too to get a connecting flight to FL? Any suggestions for plan of attack appreciated..
You can fly into Orlando, FL

Probably the closest

Thanks for the advice and the offer Lewis! A drive to sebring would be heaps better for taking in scenery rather than flight after flight... I need to work out what flies in and out of each airport on what days...

Geez, I thought I was early by registering PBOC in Daytona (21 Oct 2011 - 23 Oct 2011).
I'm at Winterfest as every year of course ;-)

Been there every year since 2007 at least, brings back memories still trying to do it cheap:

been running sebring on the xbox for a while now, got it down to a 2:16 in the 7.1 3.
like chris said, driving a lhd is very hard, and almost laughable for me as i'm left-handed and right hand is almost useless....

Look into Tampa (TPA) too..might give you some other choices and just about as close as Orlando.

Thanks fellas, will check these out too although the road trip with Lewis sounds pretty tempting too... I'll see what I can sort out with work...

Mdrums, you guys will have the displeasure of my company for either winterfest or mancation III... Just need to work out which would fit in best with work commitments and if I can score a passenger's seat for a few hot laps, that would be absolutely fantastic... I'd just love to see how you guys do the track experience there and meet some of you... You're very lucky to get the access you guys get!

Geez, I mentioned this to the wife and to my cousin, who also tracks his 996 GT3, on the weekend, and they both said YES, LET'S GO (caps to show the enthusiasm they expressed).

Looks like I might not have an excuse not to go

Schedule attached at www.pbocflorida.com

We run in SuperSolo, but you probably want to start learning the track in the instructor group. Better soften up dat CUP suspension ;-) Everything you heard about bumps is true, only worse
