Default Repainting CL wheels, anything to consider?

Hi

I just wanted to know, if I were to have my CL wheels resprayed are there any specifics I need to be aware of? For instance do I need to make sure that the conical section in the middle does not get painted? Has anyone here had his CL wheels resprayed?

Just being careful here. That CL "racing technology" is fragile enough as-is.

Yes -- had a set of GMG CLs refinished last month. The conical section that makes contact with the CL bolt, and on the inner side, the middle section that touches the hub should be paint-free. I've read that having these areas painted could cause binding, requiring the use of a mallet to dismount the wheel.

As pointed out above, no paint on conical area where CL seats nor on the area that sits against ur brake rotor/ hub area. Use paint suitable for high temp and since GMGs are forged, no high temp baking as this can affect the strength of the alloy I believe....
