Default Socal Shop Recommendations

Well, after a very long search, I finally found a 2010 GT3 I love. It should be here sometime mid next week. In the meantime, I'm trying to get prepared for the first round of mods and also identify good local shops. I've searched quite a bit and would just like some feedback on the items below:

Clear bra: I know EVERYONE recommends Premiere. Only problem is they are over an hour away and time is at a premium. Does anyone recommend a top notch installer in the San Fernando Valley or nearby? If there isn't another option, i'll likely bite the bullet and go to Premiere.

Service & Maint: I went in and toured Werks II last Friday and they were very nice and the shop looked great. They are also pretty darn close. Any feedback from other owners on them besides what I've found from searching?

Tires: after reading the new CL procedure, I'm a bit paranoid about who to use. Any recommendations besides the dealer for a trustworthy tire shop in the SFV? Werks recommended Western Tire in Burbank and said they are familiar with the CL's and do their cup cars all the time.

All info is appreciated.

I am an hour from Premier. I took it there and left it for a week while they did the install. Easy!

Hi Chris,

Just had my car in at Werks 2, their attention to details are A+. Feel 100% safe with all work they do. They are not the least expensive shop but they do call the client before installing parts or new found issues and ask how you would like to proceed. They go over everything in extreme detail explaining what they are doing. I was very happy with the job they did both times my car was in to them, just do not like paying the bill.

Premier is the place to go for clear bra, I'm over an hour away as well. Sticker City is in Sherman Oaks, they do OK- but not to the perfection as Premier. The cost difference is pretty big though.

For tires- I recommend Stokes in Santa Monica.

Service? Stuttcar in Pasadena.

I used Sticker city for the film over my head lights, turned out great. They are at 101 and Van Nuys Blvd. Also been using Stokes Tire Pros for many many many many years for my tire Mnt. and Bal. They care.

I believe the Premier guys will go mobile (not sure about an hour away though).

Werks II is great, I've been by a few times and have purchased all of my race gear from them. Very knoledgable and great customer service.

Once you get down to mods, talk to RSS / Stuttgart Performance. Their an hour from you too, but its worth it...They are 20 hours from me and I've taken both my cars there.

I used Werks II for the seven years I lived in California. They serviced my 2000 C4 and 2004 GT3. They do excellent work; what I mean by that is they know Porsche, they race so they try to anticipate problems and help you avoid them. In addition, when it comes to set up, Galen really knows how to get a car working right.

Premier is worth the effort. They are an hour from me, too; I had a leisurely lunch while they did the front end of my Spyder.

I would go nowhere but Wheel Enhancement for tires.
