I would take a .2 non RS over a .1 RS in a minute
Make sure it has DEM, they work
Solid mounts transmit too much vibrationto the car in my opinion. Sure it is a cheap alternative, but you should increase your nut / bolt tightening check interval

I couldn't so I went with a .1. A .2 is superior in many ways. Like Randy said, if you're not a collector you should choose a .2 GT3 over a .1 RS.

Dont want to steal the thread away from OP, but yeah, I am leaning towards a .2
Only difference in the budget is that if I bought a .1, I would mod the hell out of it, (bucket seats, rollbar, new wing, etc). If I bought a .2, most likely I would only get buckets, and wheels, and just leave it alone. Another consideration is if i should get CPO on a .2? Deputydog warned me that warranty work is more strict than ever, and that if I go to the track, the warranty is gone. Doesnt matter how good your relationship is with the dealer....

Randy - Been doing research for .2's, and havent found one with buckets for sale. All of them are sport seats, with stupid options. Only a couple had DEM's. Bert Smtih has a 10, but it has PCCB, 13K miles, and they want 113k. No thanks....
Jimmy - Do you realize how many gyro's I would have to sell to get a 4.0? Maybe I can "borrow" some of the bailout money greece got....

What would be wrong with putting a set of sparco's or recaro's in instead of oem sport buckets? save a lot of money and weight. I know there is an airbag issue, but if those bags aren't req'd elsewhere do we really need them?
I don't remember where, but I have read that the oem sport buckets mount too high. Can anybody that has them comment on that? I don't have enough experience to really know.
