No drone on the RSS so I'm not sure what you are hearing. The design of the RSS, Shark, and GMG all seem the same.

I have the RSS and love it. Actually hate how quiet it is until I press the sport button. Maybe what you are calling drone is the baffles opening and closing?

Agree with Sharkwerks - absolutely no drone...guaranteed. Best sound of all, imo. I tried all of them before I bought the Sharkwerks.

Wow, I love the RSS and have not at all been struck by excessive drone. I've got mine unplugged and it is as loud and as drony as it could be.

My understanding is that there is really no huge difference between Sharkwerks and RSS in terms of loudness and drone, but I am not entirely sure of that.

Just had my RSS-X pipe installed while my .2 GT3 was in for some other work (front end lift repair). Pulled out of the lot and smiled. Got on the highway on ramp and smiled more. Wow.

I'd be amazed if either of the very similar designs would create drone - many in use, and zero drone from any of them yet. -

Hey guys -

THe X pipe is now available in angled tips - I still strongly prefer the straight ... but the option is there -

You said that already. Just 11 posts ago in this very thread. I'm guessing you haven't taken it off yet?

You actually took the time to count back the number of posts? Anyways, I'll be taking it off when I can muster up some spare time.

Rodger at Orbit just removed my X-pipe today (04.19.2012) after 14k miles (12k is track miles).
FWIW - only reason I did this is to remove weight (removed the two big fender mufflers and put back on the oem center rear muffler).
Man, will I miss the sound of the X-pipe.
