RIP? If he was indeed drinking and driving then the dude's an idiot. Harsh, you bet. I don't feel sorry for those that make poor choices and potentially put my family in harm's way. Some idiot already did by drinking and driving and ended up putting my sister in the ER after running her car off the highway one night.

What bothers me about all the coverage is that the passenger, who lost his life too, is barely mentioned. The celeb gets all the ink while his victim is forgotten.

And of course "crazy Porsche driver" stories come out of the woodwork.

My prediction is that once the passenger's family gets done suing his estate there won't be enough left to buy a Subaru -- as it should be.

 

Was it raining ? I noticed mine is squirmy in the rain, even with traction control ON. Corsa tires soon to be replaced with tires better in rain. Hopefully the new Michelin Super Sport tires.

you are kidding right? you saw the picture of the "car" being recovered; its unrecognisable as a car ... never mind a porsche or GT3 for that matter.

The fact that the vehicle is in parts suggests a very high speed impact against
some solid object(s) ... once a fuel line or tank is ruptured combustion is likely; this is not a manufacturers error, merely a failure of the nut behind the wheel aka a drunken jackass'es fault.

I have little sympathy for him, perhaps only the passenger, but even then their choice appears questionable.

I can only hope neither sufferred as they passed.

 

Umm, was it clear that he was drunk or are we all jumping to the conclusion that he was? A beer does not put you over the limit and i seriously doubt that there are many people here that have not had a drink and then driven in the next little while after.
If the guys was hammered, then yes, he's an *** and was reckless and killed himself and a passenger which is tragic. I just have not yet seen any proof that he was above the limit.
