Jackass star Ryan Dunn dies in car accident

Ray Wert — Ryan Dunn, who will forever be known for sticking a Hot Wheels car up his own ass in the movie "Jackass," and another as-of-yet-unidentified person, both died in a crash outside of Philadelphia early this morning.

Police say they don't know whether the 34-year-old Dunn, who appeared in all of the "Jackass" movies, or the unidentified person was driving the car. The shot up top was taken at the scene of a one-car accident that took place in West Goshen, Pa. around 3:30 AM Monday morning. It's too mangled to tell, but it may in fact be the remains of Dunn's Porsche 911 GT3.
Police also don't know whether alcohol was to blame — but Dunn did tweet out the following picture from his Tumblr account hours before his death.

Our guess is that isn't an iced tea he's drinking.
Definitely a sad event, although I think everyone knew this would happen to one of them sooner or later because of what they do. RIP

Damn I just watched him on a TV game show over the weekend.

Sad...

Definitely sad. Those guys have always lived by the seat of their pants and I'm not surprised one of them met an early fate, however, I'm sad it was Ryan. He was always a big car guy and an autocrosser. Unfortunately, from what is going around, its sounds like drunk driver should be added to that list. RIP>

apparently Dunn had twitted photos of himself drinking a few hours earlier. When will people learn?

My sympathies to his family, but if drinking and driving, jackass prety well sums it up.

Sad for sure and a really good guy. We all know what a thrill these cars are and how freaking dangerous it can get real quick. All we can hope is that enough kids take a look at what little debris they were able to recover and think twice before drinking and driving. I also hope Knoxville and the rest of their crew get out there to campaign for better awareness since they have so much influence over our kids. All the stupid sh!t they got away doing on film for Ryan to end up like this... And a passenger too, Just tragic.

Loved his work.

Really cool to see he had a GT3!

his so called "friends" who let him drink and drive should be responsible and liable for his death.
