Fricken' awesome. Always in the right gear and never upsets the car. Hear those rev-matched downshifts? Soooo tasty! Once you fix the terminal understeer it is monumental fun to drive and to me a lot more tossable than my 3RS.

Yes, it sounds cool and must feel very buttery.. Would you spec a GT3RS that way?
It seems to take away a bit of challenge.

I love tha cars, but would go for a closed Cayman R. White ofcourse.

Hey! Buttery is a good description.

A roof (Cayman) is smart from both a safety and chassis rigidity standpoint. But a topless Spyder looks better than anything else on the road.

A PDK RS would undoubtedly be more efficient and faster lap times but I think most all of of us love the challenge of heel/toe and it's for that reason I love my RS cars.

Let's face it, after becoming proficient with a stick, the PDK makes tracking easier and much less involved. However, sometimes that is a good thing like today when I just wanted a track quickie with no drama.

Looking good Peter! I wanted to go there Monday- presume that is when you were there? Couldn't make it, business to attend to

Must have been a lot of fun! Good for you for getting that rascal on track. Another GT3/Spyder - owner/tracker

Will PDK automatically upshift if you hit redline?

And, the rev-matching doesn't seem to be as aggressive as either the DCT of the BMW or the F1 tranny of the Ferrari.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter

When in Sport Plus Mode and manual shifting....Only if you have the acellerator pressed all the way down and into the kickdown button PDK will up shift for you.

Peter- No experience with BMW, but I have ridden in Ferrari's and the shifts can be very harsh. PDK is all about seamless, uninterrupted powerflow. It is freaky how the PDK can pop off a mid-corner shift and not unsettle the car at all. It is a phenominal transmission.

Using "Sport Plus" mode for tracking holds the engine between 4000 or so rpm's and redline at all times. I never, ever, manually shift it on track. Steering wheel paddles option was just for show
