Default Question for experienced stripper crowd.

I am looking at replacing carpet in a 2007 Turbo. Clearly seats/console would have to come out....Is the anything that makes this a difficult job? (Car has terra cotta carpet, I want to install black.) I guess this could be done in 4-6 hours.

If it were me, I would gladly pay an experieced Porsche tech to do the job. Lots of plastic trim waiting to be broken if you don't already know how it all inter connects.

Pete, this can be perceived as an indicator that you are, very experienced when it comes to strippers.. it's simple throw them money and wait.

easy job !

4-6 hours if you're dreaming.

Use the workshop manual to remove the door sills and rear side panels (where speakers are). If you have the bose sound system, follow the workshop manual as well. You have rear seats, follow the workshop as well. Everything else is intuitive.

None of the carpets are glued or bolted. If you don't mind cutting the middle around the handbrake assembly, you can save 4 hours. It should take anywhere from 16-20 hours.

Unplug the battery and don't plug it back until everything is done.

it is always easier coming out then going back in.

stuff like the console removal is a chore.

do you really NEED to change your carpet color?

After receiving the leather sample today.I elected not to purchase car that had terracotta carpet and seats. This information on carpet removal just makes it easier to walk away. Thanks again!
