430 Scud pricing?
This is a but OT but I never visit ferrari forums.
Anyone know what a reasonable price for an 08 or 09 Scud would be? Seems like they usually have between 1K and 5K miles.
Just looking for feedback on real sales prices for no stores cars.
Thx

Retail seems to be higher than $100K below original MSRP for driven cars -- hard to say what's "no stories" with a Ferrari.
One or two posts here recently reported $95K-110K loss on resale (presumably from msrp.)
You can subscribe to sportscarmarket and ferrarimarketletter for something like $40 for six months.
I like SCM because it gives real auction numbers across a lot of cars and the main writer is pretty well-respected as having a clue. They also put out some good stuff pre-Pebble Beach.
Each time I contemplate a F-stop change, I get back into reading the prices, a bit like stock market trading -- buy low, sell high. I was hoping it would be a case of "buy low" on the Scuderia when the 458 was pretty much known to be a quantum leap forward, but it was already so beaten down by the depressed economy, the next hit on the head didn't have the kind of throw-away impact I was (naively) hoping to scalp.
Anything can happen and it would be foolhardy to think an amateur buyer can "trade" collector and exotic cars without losing a pound of flesh, but with these two magazines, I think a reasonably astute amateur can tinker with various "interesting" cars from year to year and not end up with an albatross around their neck ... unless they actually wanted a 1939 Albatross ...

Chris, I'll ask Corbetti tomorrow (the g-man is in town) but i think he will say something in the $175-80 range.
i'm toying with an F-car now that the 92' cup is gone, depends on the market and how much the pool is actually going to cost when its said and done.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for your '92 Cup?

Took a massive loss on my scud...over 100k
I feel like a broken record on this site...law of supply and demand! There a bunch for sale and it is clearly a buyer's market. On a positive note the car is AWESOME!

the 458 Scud is still awhile out, so the 430 Scud is still the car to have
not many out there with higher miles, they are all mostly low mile cream puffs from what i see on the market.....
the big hit comes with the 458 Scud......
If you have 170k ready in your jeans id say you find a seller.....

I see most listed at $220-230K. Will these dealerships really come down to around $180K? Anyone know of any that are actually selling at this price, let me know where. thanks

I have to say this thread is quite funny given that I own one and there is a HUGE thread on this already under the 430 section of Fchat. You can read it without being a paying member so I would do it. As everyone has said: best pricing is on 2008 MY higher mileage cars for now followed up by sub 2k mileage 2009 MY's. I bought mine used, (500 miles!) and it was 30k below other cars at the time, yet thanks to the 458, i still took a 60k hit based on the current ask, which is not getting any deals done. It really is a fine track car, okay road car. I've converted mine into a full track model: full cage, Capristo exhaust, race keeper, fire system, schroth 6pt, forged rims, challenge pads etc.
She'll be making her debut at MMC in about another week.

I sold mine in the fall/winter- and it wasn't pretty. It is a buyers market for this car- 170-180 will get you a nice example.
