I have a guy that usually comes by. He charges like $30 and does a total exterior clean. You can't beat the price and he does nice work.
He's not around lately, so it looks like I'll be doing it myself. Those rubber marks are pretty persistent.
What's the easiest way to get the paint clean?

I use this: http://www.mothers.com/02_products/07100.html. It takes a little bit of rubbing but those marks come right off. I'm sure there are other products that will do the job, too.

My detailer was using 'Meguiars tech wax spray' for this purpose. I used this, 70% alcohol, and Plexus and with a lot of work was able to get everything off the paint AND my 3m clear with zero damage. I guess these worked very well considering my car sat neglected and unwashed for almost 3 weeks following its last track day. I dont think I'd use an aresol unless I was prepared to rewash the car immediately since Ive heard that these can yellow the 3m.... I also used a claybar for the first time ever and rewaxed. 20 hours of awesome 'therapy' with amazing results! It looked (and felt) better than new.
If anyone knows how I can get the factory clear in front of the rear wheels clean I would LOVE to know! Track-goo seems impossible to clean from this surface- It seems like a totally diferent clear plastic than the 3m that cleans so easily...

I use a wet rag with a very small amount of brakleen with simple green on top of that. Takes rubber marks off with not much effort and with products that I already have around.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use Mr Clean Magic Eraser on your clear bra......
It's been recommended by several Rennlister, so I gave it a shot.
It may well work removing rubber goop from paint, but it will permanently mar the finish of clear bra.....
....ask me how I know!!

wow - answers are all over the board. I've owned a detail shop in the past and would recommend 1/2 the products above NEVER touch your paint. Brake cleaner + simple green, really??
For areas covered with clear bra, use Premier's product or a similar non-abrasive, non-alcohol cleaner.
For all painted areas (works fine on clear bra too), I'd suggest you use a clay bar to remove the rubber marks, then add a coat of wax (possibly a paint cleaner in between). It's a bit more work, but I guarantee you're paint will last and stay looking great.

So, in a twist of irony, I've decided to start protecting the factory protection by applying a layer of reusable adhesive vinyl. I initially started with the same basic shape that comes from the factory - in white, so it would blend in with the white paint. Over time, I've adopted color and additional shapes for visual appeal

brim- non-alcohol?! Yikes! The 3m installers suggested 70% alcohol for the 3m and it didnt do a bit of harm but perhaps repaeted use will have ill effects?
I used the claybar on the factory clear @ the rear wheels and not much success there at all. Do you have a specific remedy for this?
