Default Unplug exhaust & rev problem

Hi guys,

I've used "unplug exhaust" for a couple of months and loving it, but not enough. So I'm going to install sharky bypass system in a few weeks.

The problem is, now when I plug back in, it seems that the sound doesn't change. Is there any way to know if the plug is still working, except plugging in and trying sport & non-sport?

Also, when I put the gear in neutral, the car won't rev past 4500 rpm. Is it due to unplug?

Thanks in advance!!

When you leave the car to long with the exhaust unplugged the valve could be jammed.

check the fuse, the exhaust valves close under power, so it may be as simple replacing a blown fuse.

I leave mine open all the time and haven't had an issue with it jamming.

Well I guess I would install sharky bypass and leave the plug open at all time!
My neighbours should be happy rather than annoyed.

Anyone has problem reving beyond 4500 rpm after unplugging?

I have had mine unplugged for 3 years now. I plugged it back in to test it, and was working fine. As suggested above, you may need to check the fuse or the valves themselves. No issues with RPM range at all. I immediately unplugged it again.

Can you rev past 4000 RPM when unplugged?

I went to Porsche today. They said the valves might be broken when the car passed speed bumps too fast.

NO issues. Can rev all the way up. Since your problems start around 4000-4500 RPM's, perhaps there is an issue with the Sport mode button function? Good luck with the fix.
