Default Air con on gt3rs2

this may sound dim but have just purchased a 4 month old gt3 rs that has an air con button on the dash and i think has a pump in the engine bay (advise on this would help) but on the original bill of sale there is no mention of it was it standard equipment on an rs or an option as it is not working , do they leave the button in if its deleted cheers chaps

I purchased mine new with A/C and it does not work anymore (10 month old). Have an appointment next week to fixe it.... Yours might just have stopped working as well....I don't think they leave the switch if you order it with A/C delete.

mine didn't even work with 8 miles on the odo. have to bring it in. I wonder if they never put in the freon or whatever it's called these days.

Don't have an RS, but my GT3 A/C did not work straight from the dealer. After 1 fix ( a bad o-ring that let the coolant leak out) it still was not fixed. Next time they put a dye in and found another leak. Supposed to be fixed now, but have not tried it.

very interesting thread, as the air-con on my RS also did not work upon delivery.

either a leak or not enough freon, something quite minor and was fixed within a few hours. I was told by the dealer that 2 out of the 9 delivered RS in Vancouver have same air-con issue.
