The problem did not show up on a normal DME check. My mechanic did a pretty thorough once over.. But at the track, the engine cut out and registered a DME error. But that was at VIR after accelerating from 2nd through 3rd to 6500 in 4th. (GT3 gearing) Blasting to the top in 2nd didn't do it.. Not long enough sustained acceleration.

You should have your dealer or someone with a Peewee check it. The problem is that this doesn't necessarily reveal a damaged circuit. The reverse connection isn't a guarantee to do harm so don't fret over it too much.. Just be aware that this is a possibility.

Here is the final update: Nothing was harmed. The only thing that did not come back on after a few starts was the stereo, and it turned out the be the fuse behind the dash panel of the radio. No harm, no foul--and it was a 700A jumper. Bruised ego only. Thanks for all of the feedback.
