Look on the bright-side (if there is one).

One of the other guys....... Bridgestone, Conti, Pirelli (other than their Corsa System) may come out with the 325 rears. Who knows. But the 305's (and yea even though the GT3 takes 305's), it sure does not seem like any of us are jumping on that train just quite yet.

If anything I'd think a Bridgestone in a 305 would be a better profile for the wheel. (Just considering tires like PS2 just start-off-with that "rounded" edge look whereas the Bridgestones seem more square).

See what we need here is a mule-car with a spare set of OEM wheels and to try a few 305's. (I volunteer for donations to take on that experiment, nice guy that I am)

I tried to the Pirelli Trofeo 305, and as far as I am concerned it FAILED!!!!!!!!!

TRAKCAR has confirmed a 305 in SS has been fitted - we just need feedback and photos.

If you try the bridgestone, we will have done the test

It doesn't make sense that PSS doesn't come in 325, as all .2RS and GT2 will need it, then there is the new 4.0. There is lots of business there already. And they care to make the 20" for the Ferrari 599. I don't understand what Michelin is thinking. I hope they read this forum.

Larry, thanks for all your useful information.

So, I'm going to say it nicely again.

Dear Michelin, please make PSS in 325/30/19. I promise to buy more than a few sets,.....and I will eat my broccoli too. Regards, Tim

Larry......... you are da man! (And for the pic........one word..........YIKES)

I'll do brocolli and up it one with a large glass of milk!

Truthfully, I'd love to have a set of these new SS's in our size and give some feedback on the side of street/road trip along with "spirited mountain areas" legal (yea baby) driving and AutoX. You guys can do the track.

I'd go-so-far as to white out the GT3 in the GT3RS so nobody would know what the car is under testing conditions !! (Again, how nice of me is that or what)

that pretty nice ...!

I think we are begining to get the message across that there is demand for the RS fitment ... we can all help by trying the tyre in GT3 fitments, that way the community will demonstrate that demand exists ... which willl drive the development and release of the 325...

I'll be honest with ya...... after seeing that 305 picture, that pretty much has me sticking with the 325's for now. (Granted that could have been a few hard turns but, just about that total sidewall is on its way to the shredder). Which in and of itself would make someone want to get the proper size tire made for a 12" wide rim?

its worth pointing out that the GT3 has a 12" rear rim also, and Porsche fits a 305 on there ... just sayin!

I run 245/305 RE-11 on 8.5/11.5 19s and 245/305 R888 on 8.5/11 18s on a 997.1 S, not gt3. The R888 have better grip, no doubt about it but the RE-11s are no slouch. It's probably the best handling street tire I've had. Similarly, there is no doubt the RE-11s last longer. I have not had the R888 long but I can look at them and see wear each track day and guess how many I have left. The RE11s wear, sure, but not at an alarmingly obvious rate. Plus they get street duty.

The RE11 rides quite firm even compared to other 19's. It is noisy in the sense that it transmits more noise from the road, not that the tread itself is noisy. The R888 has that tread hum all the time, like driving a truck with mud tires sometimes. I don't find R888 stiffer feeling that the RE-11 on the street but that's probably more about 18 vs 19. On track and AX, both feel pretty crisp/responsive on turn in, that's why I say the RE-11s are pretty awesome for what they are. They also only need a street sane amount of camber.
