Pucks? What are pucks? I ask because I've got some rear calipers coming that need the fat inboard guide pins. If these are "pucks", I'd be curious where you get spares?

My experiences are similar with stock RS90/RS19 pads. Front pads need to be flipped after 6-8 track days. Your front rotors are toast. Mine looked similar after 11 track days. My rear rotors have 15 track days, are on their second set of pads and still don't have a single crack in them. Earlier this year, I did put new front rotors on for about $450 a piece. After 4 track days, front rotors are doing great. If they don't last any longer than the last set, I will probably get a pair of APs for the front.

I am 90% sure I am going to order AP next week.....if anyone wants them let me know, I will see if a quanity discount is avaialble

Hey Randy I have a set of Stop Tech front rotors and hats for my '10 GT3 that I just took off the car earlier this year. They have 3 DE weekends on them and you'd almost never know they were on the track. Very durable rotor. As you know, the hat is removable making rotor replacements a cheap option for track junkies which is why I went that route when my first set of OE rotors started to crack beyond the 5mm diameter spec. Porsche specifies. However, I don't know if they'll work on the RS or not. If your interested in a good guy price send me an email.
I'm going to be shipping my GT3 back to Germany where I can drive it as it was originally intended on these roads as primarily a daily but w/e 'Ring-track car. As such I have decided that the OEM rotor is the best solution for that purpose............now what to do for a new American DEDICATED track car.....hmmmm?

Last night I was looking for rental (race) cars myself for our trip to Munich and NRing this summer :-)
Do the Stop Tech use the unmodified pads?
I know from Randy that the Front rotors are cost effective..
Dedicated track car ==> 05 CUP.

That's too bad on the Stop Tech for the RS but it sounds like you're on to better options anyway, good luck on that Randy.
Yes Peter, the ST need to have the front pads modified if you use Pagids, etc..or you can use ST's which don't need mod's however I've never tried them. In speaking with ST and others about why they did this, I was told that the increased size of the hat acts as a heat sink of sort, making it take up more heat as opposed to the rotor and therefore pad getting it. Not really sure if this is true or not as I'm not a mechanical engineer. I did feel a slight difference in pedal feel but stopping distances under threshold braking were as good or maybe a bit better than the OEM rotor using T7 @ Sebring as a reference point.
So far as rentals over here go, every trip to the Ring I try a little somthing different so far as rentals are concerned. Renting a 997 GT is ridiculously expensive (1300+ Euro per day) and the deductible is $45,000 Euro. That's the cheapest I've found. Instead I've been going with lower horse power momentum cars (Citroen Clios, BMW 1's and 3's and Audi TDI) as I am still getting comfortable with the 60+ turns half of which are blind. When I find what I think is an ideal solution I'll post something. Ring rates are running around 22 euro per lap on top of the rental so it makes for a pricey afternoon. Let me know your dates. I'm heading back to the States in June but will be back in Munich July through most of the rest of the year.
Yes Peter, I'd like to talk with you about a dedicated track car. Thanks for the input.

The good thing is that the rotors last much longer then the OEM's of the .1.
I can get 20 days on the fronts and 40 on the rears, we will see how many more days I get on the dimpled PFC front rotors...
