I tried to find a cobalt blue one. Near impossible at the time when I was purchasing. Must not have been a popular color but I think it looks stunning in person.

That's just like trying to find a car in Nordic Metallic Gold. Ain't been offered since 2010 and have ever only seen a Targa, LA auto show 2009, and someone's 997 GT2.

I ordered a 997.1 GT3 in Cobalt w/PCCB and yellow stitching back in '07, and this looks like it might have once been my car. Are the last 6 of the VIN 793149? I always loved Cobalt. I'm happy that Porsche made the 997.2 RS available in Aqua, as I'm partial to blue.

That's the same one indeed! Very nicely optioned with the yellow stitching etc...

Very rare as well... I remember Axel Rose of GNR had a cobalt blue 6GT3 as well.

Tried it myself *in a 7.1 RS.

Anyway for the rest I will PM you, 1.45 is stuck in my mind : )
Roger that figured that for folks that wanted/needed it well it'd make sense and put our mind at ease too

In terms of the CELs and other headers/cats I do know what you mean in terms of "lowering thresholds" etc... but honestly that isn't a) very safe b) or good for emissions to that so we don't:P

^ I think Alex/Sharkster was referring to the .1 CB he was working on .. not the AB .2 in the picture.

This one was listed as a 2010 Aqua GT3 on Ebay. Thats where I got the pic from. I think it was on the East Coast possibly VA.

Cobalt Blue was a "std" color for the 997.1 07-08 GT3, "Aqua Blue" replaced it for the 10-11 models, (its a little darker/bluer and less 'purple' than Cobalt) but of course (as we see) it is/was available as a PTS color... based upon RL guesswork I think there are around 8-10 CB 997.1 GT3s in the US ... one was mine.

Other PTS colors in the 10-11 cars: Riviera, Mexico, Maritime

Quick Reply: Cobalt blue.. the MK1 that got away..
