Default Newbie question

Sorry for my ignorance but does the 997 GT3 have the "one piece" engine like the 996 Gt3 and turbo or the "3 piece" engine like the regular 997 ?
Thanks
Eric

The 997 gt3 has the same engine block as the 996gt3 and turbos up to and including the 997.1 turbo. I'm not sure what you mean by one piece though because they are a split case design based on the GT1 mezger motor...

Basiccally what I meant is that these engine are much stronger than the regular 996 and 997 and dont have the typical engine failure around 200000 km

Yes, this engine is their motorsport engine a definitely the more reliable and longer lasting one dispite the occassional oil or coolant leak
