switch to Corsas or MPSC+ ... and check your camber! looks like a lot more wear on the inside of the failed tyre than the other one ... also looks a little like the tread separated rather uniformly - I wonder
if this is a production failure.

Wow!!
A couple of guys, including myself, have experienced a strange wear pattern with Trofeos, but this looks more like an accident. I had my first set of Trofeos on for less than 15 laps at the Autodrome when I experienced a puncture. Turned out it was a nail. On the track! Actually, I had gone up in the bowl as a result of a late late breaking mistake, so that's where I picked up the metal. The Autodrome is notoriously littered with debris after race days, so maybe you went a bit wide or spun and your tire got shredded.
We discussed with Pirelli last friday at the Yas event and were told that they are developing an evolution of the Trofeo with mixed compounds, kind of like a motorcycle tire. No date for release yet, but this should be interesting!
Let us know what you can get out of Pirelli. Really curious!

Excess wear on the inside can be due to excess camber, or toe in. Do you have toe links? The rear toe adjustment is notoriously weak on our cars. Toe links are a must.

Looks to me as though one side had more inside edge wear than the other ... so either he's a NASCAR driver (shake and bake) or ...

Latest update.
I called Pirelli UK and they are taking this seriously - have yet to hear what they want to do.
I have also heard Pirelli Italy want my tire as this is something new to them - one of the rennlisters sent Pirelli Middle East the link from here, who sent onto Italy, but this is yet to be confirmed.
