And I am as pleased with what has been done on this as I have been re any component for any vehicle in quite some time. Forgetting the weight savings of approximately 11 pounds (high and rear) over the metal equivalent, the induction (air) box has such features as electronically operated dual carbon fiber resonance flaps, titanium shafts to operate the butterflies and titanium fasteners throughout. Additionally, the metal tool to make the box has been constructed so as enable the use of different center sections so as to be able to produce boxes (albeit with different air intake apparatus) for 997 Cup Cars and certain 997 street cars. Taken together, this is why I presumed upon all of you and included in the title of this thread words I have never used before, "worth seeing".
Our original does not look as nice as this one ^

Can I see the underside of the RSR airbox? And when did you buy it? BTW, the RSR airbox was made with a very tight budget.

Robert,

You might not be able to 'love' an inanimate object but I sure can. OMFG that's beautiful!

I'll see if I can dig up an image in my files....it came with the car and I was warned as I cradled it ever so gently not to drop it!! as I recall, the underside is flawless but overall not as "clear" finished as your unit; although it did see quite a bit of ALMS track time

I often spend time scrolling through the various Sharkwerks build threads with all the pictures. My wife invariably asks what I am doing "looking" at all those pictures of engines.
