Definitely not okay to leave the dust caps off -- they're meant to seal out water (they don't, very well) and dust/dirt/grit to be sure the locking mechanism slides reliably along its splines. The centerlocks are a tad fragile and need to be correctly lubricated and torqued off the ground when removed.

ps. I had Meteor Grey on an '09 Cabrio and it's a color that I wasn't sure about -- I almost invariably go with black or white -- but after a while, it really grew on me. Great choice.

Ok, maybe a few dust bunnies.

However, there are apparently no rats in Alberta, anywhere. Yeah I know, useless info, and personally, I don't believe it, but that's what they say.

sorry about the dust caps then...they are in the boot. I couldnt get them back on...and I thought they looked awesome/racey off. Centerlocks have been lubricated everytime wheel came on/off.

Also i miss the grey, and learned that ill never buy a black car again. It is impossible to keep a black car clean and u see every imperfection and swirl mark!

Lived in Alberta for 24 years, never saw a rat. (except Peter Pocklington...you Oiler fans will get it.)

Default 997.2 GT3

Hi Stephen:

Congratulations on your new P car. You gave up your last one in September 2009 (BTW, my friend is taking good care of it for you). Did it take you a while to find one that you like? You are correct, the 997.2 GT3 feels raw compared to the .1 GT3 and even the .1 RS. I had a chance to drive one last year in Portland. If your car still has the factory alignment, you should get a proper track alignment done to get more -ve camber dialed in.

Love the M. Grey. Hope to see you soon at the track?

Calvin
